Sorry for the lack of updates, but simply put, there hasnt been anything positive to write about so far this season.
During practice we were a snail. We were not happy with the setup at all. After mega-changes and a ton of work by the crew, we finally were moving in the right direction. During practices on race day, we were still working the bugs out of things. Somehow, only through the grace of God, we won our heat race. With the new STUPID rules at Canaan, we were forced to re-draw for starting positions for the feature. So instead of being on the pole, a position I EARNED by winning my heat race, I drew number 4.
We started 4th in the feature. The car wasnt up to par. It just didnt feel right, it didnt have the bite off the corners we need. At about the half way point, it happened. The rear end, blew up, dropping gear oil allover the track, ending our night.
We were not ready for week two, and mother nature helped us out a bit. Only the heat races we run.
With a new rearend in the car, and the motor checked out by HPH, we were ready once again. The car was much better this week, and we felt we had something. We started 4th in our heat race and were running 14.5's and 14.4's only to see the 15 pulling away by 10 car lengths.
We started the feature 6th, but still felt we had a car that could get to the front in a hurry. But, it happened again, during hot laps, we broke the drive shaft ending our night prematurely again.
Needless-to-say, everyone is really dissappointed right now and the prostock is being parked for a while.
